COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT POLICY
The purpose of the Disability Health Promotion Network (DHPN) is to provide quality resources about health promotion issues facing people with disabilities and seniors with disabilities. Our goal is to identify Canadian resources that meet the various and distinctly different health information needs of this population.
Resources selected will be written clearly and will include brief fact sheets, organization home pages, government resources, in-depth resources, current topic/directions. All resources linked will be easily accessible online and free-of-charge. Resources selected will have a general and disability specific focus. DHPN is committed to locating resources in both English and French. DHPN links to websites that relate to health promotion and are non-profit. We do not link to sites whose sole purpose is commercial activity. Links to sites shall be a DHPNs sole discretion.
